About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct a final summative and formative evaluation of the ACT Programme to assess its contribution to ending violence against women and girls
- Assess programme relevance, coherence, effectiveness, efficiency, impact, and sustainability
- Develop an evaluation matrix and inception report summarizing key questions, indicators, and methodology
- Execute a mixed-methods approach including desk reviews, key informant interviews (KIIs), focus group discussions (FGDs), and a targeted endline survey
- Document case studies, key results, and good-practice examples
- Provide actionable recommendations for future EVAWG programming and movement-building initiatives
Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Sciences, International Development, Law, Human Rights, Gender, or Women's Studies (or equivalent)
- At least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in planning, programming, reviews, or evaluation
- Extensive experience evaluating programmes in gender equality, women's rights, and ending violence against women
- Proven expertise in participatory and gender-responsive evaluation methodologies
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in qualitative and quantitative data analysis software
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of French, Spanish, or other UN official languages is an asset
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced training or certifications in evaluation methodologies or project management
- Experience working with UN agencies on gender equality project reviews
- Experience conducting evaluations of complex global and regional programmes in the Global South
