Executive Director, Head of Carbon Markets

Responsibilities

• Develop FAB Carbon Markets franchise across both Compliance and Voluntary Markets
• Enhance Commodity desk capabilities and grow the Carbon franchise
• Actively participate in the UAE Carbon ecosystems and working groups
• Develop strong product offerings for regional and global clients
• Partner with sales and coverage teams to support client strategy
• Coordinate with FAB ESG team and other product groups
• Trade, price, and risk manage all compliance programs (ETS)
• Support pricing, risk management, and origination of carbon offsets
• Generate P&L through detailed carbon market expertise
• Establish relationships with key clients and counterparties
• Manage risk positions within applicable limits and desk risk tolerance
• Drive carbon offsets origination initiatives

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience in commodity trading with specific expertise in Carbon
• Strong knowledge of commodity markets, trading platforms, and trading systems
• Demonstrable track record of managing commodities risk
• Strong analytical background
• Ability to build positive relationships with new and existing clients
• Mastery of key financial and commercial performance indicators
