About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance and repair of school buildings, equipment, and grounds
- Implement preventative maintenance programs for MEP systems
- Supervise in-house maintenance staff and external contractors
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers
- Prepare and manage the facilities department annual budget
- Oversee transportation services and school bus fleet
- Monitor utility consumption and cost control
Requirements
- Diploma in Facility Management, Engineering, or related field
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or IWFM
- Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities management
- Proven experience managing budgets and contractors
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security systems
- Familiarity with local health and safety regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of sustainable and energy-efficient practices
