About the role
Responsibilities
- Support bank, payment gateway, transaction and intercompany reconciliations
- Help prepare customer invoices, credit notes and debit notes
- Support AP and AR, including vendor invoices and employee reimbursements
- Assist with accruals, reconciliations and account reviews for month-end close
- Keep accounting records and supporting documentation accurate and audit-ready
- Contribute to ad-hoc finance projects and process improvements
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
- Strong analytical, organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluency in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship or coursework in accounting or finance
- Familiarity with ERP or accounting systems
- Basic understanding of bank and payment reconciliations
- Exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable or financial reporting
- Experience in payments, fintech, hospitality tech or high-growth marketplaces
