Financial Accountant

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end closing activities including accruals, prepayments, and journal adjustments
• Conduct balance sheet, intercompany, bank, and petty cash reconciliations
• Prepare financial reports and schedules for management review
• Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with IFRS standards
• Manage VAT submissions and refunds
• Load and review payments and receipts while supporting cash flow management
• Liaise with AP, AR, operations, and banks to resolve finance-related matters

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline
• 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a logistics environment
• Strong Excel and Financial Modelling skills
• Experience with integrated ERP systems
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA or CA
