About the role

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of comprehensive financial statements, including departmental P&Ls (rooms, F&B, spa, events) and monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UAE accounting standards and requirements.
  • Manage financial forecasting and budgeting processes aligned with hotel operations, including revenue projections based on occupancy rates, ADR, and RevPAR metrics to support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance across all revenue and cost centers, identifying opportunities for cost optimization and operational efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure full compliance with UAE tax regulations, VAT requirements, labor law provisions, auditing standards, and and hotel-specific financial policies and controls.
  • Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management and department heads, informed by industry trends and competitive benchmarking, to drive business strategy and operational improvements.
  • Supervise and develop the finance team, establish internal controls, and foster a culture of financial accountability and compliance throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA is an advantage.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of previous experience in a Financial Controller or senior Finance management role in a hotel is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial/accounting systems; experience with hotel finance systems.
  • Good understanding of UAE financial regulations, VAT, tax requirements, and accounting standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management and department heads.
  • Strong leadership and team-management skills with the ability to develop and motivate the Finance team.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, confidentiality, and commitment to financial controls and compliance.
