Financial Controller

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to the Accounting, Working Capital, COS and ERP teams
• Foster a ability to high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement
• Deputise for the Regional Finance Director when required
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting across all entities
• Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes
• Review management accounts, balance sheets and cash flow reporting
• Ensure compliance with Group policies, accounting standards and local statutory requirements
• Maintain a strong internal control environment and governance framework
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning activities
• Provide insightful analysis of financial performance, risks and opportunities
• Oversee project financial performance and profitability reporting
• Oversee finance systems governance and data quality
• Lead finance process improvement and automation initiatives
• Support ERP enhancements and digital transformation projects

Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline
• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent)
• Significant post-qualification experience in a senior finance role
• Proven experience leading accounting and finance teams within a multi-entity organisation
• Strong technical accounting, financial control and reporting expertise
• Experience of project-based businesses would be advantageous
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to challenge constructively and influence decision-making
• Experience of ERP systems and finance transformation initiatives
