About the role
Responsibilities
- Find and ship savings across AWS and GCP by analyzing billing, usage, and cost trends
- Build and maintain cost attribution through tagging policies and cost allocation
- Automate cost governance using Python, Terraform, and Lambda
- Partner with engineering on architecture decisions to ensure cost-efficiency
- Work with Finance on forecasting, reporting, and budget tracking
Requirements
- Strong AWS expertise and working GCP knowledge
- Automation and scripting skills in Python, Terraform, Lambda, or Bash
- Proficiency with AWS Cost Explorer, Cost & Usage Reports, and GCP Billing Reports
- Experience with cloud cost management platforms like CloudZero or Vantage is a plus
- Ability to analyze cost data and present it clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- Prior experience in a FinOps, cloud cost management, or cloud governance role
