Founder in Residence

Responsibilities

• Refine the technical thesis for improving drug delivery efficiency and safety across the blood-brain barrier
• Develop IP strategy, market value propositions, and techno-economics
• Define regulatory strategy and positioning
• Lead fundraising strategy and pitching to secure Series A
• Recruit advisory and co-founding team members
• Prepare for Investment Committee by fulfilling investment criteria

Requirements

• Deep expertise in at least two of: Protein Engineering, Biologics Drug Development, Cell Biology & Neurobiology, or Medicinal Chemistry
• Track record of translating scientific concepts from discovery to in vivo proof-of-concept or IND
• Experience managing CRO/CDMO or Pharma programmes
• Ability to work in ambiguous, fast-paced, and unstructured environments
• Entrepreneurial mindset and first-principles thinking

Preferred Qualifications

• CNS preclinical or clinical drug development experience
• Single-cell transcriptomic data analysis skills
• Deep understanding of IP, FTO, and patentability
• Previous biotech founder or C-suite leadership experience
• Previous fundraising experience (VC, dilutive or non-dilutive)
• Established network across CNS pharma, biotech, or academic institutions

• Minimum guaranteed income of £4,166 per month as a consultancy fee until spin-out
