Fractional Director of Talent Acquisition

Arootah is a talent solutions firm purpose-built for the alternative investment industry. We advise and we execute, covering the full talent spectrum from entry to exit across five services: Talent Acquisition, Fractional Leadership, Talent Development, Retention & Compensation, and Transition.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice to Alternative Asset Firm and Family Office clients regarding talent acquisition processes.
• Lead high-priority Investment and Operations talent searches and manage small teams of recruiters.
• Engage with hiring managers to identify roles, develop hiring plans, and craft hiring documents.
• Manage the entire recruitment process, including candidate sourcing and management of 3rd party search firms.
• Work with business unit leaders on gap analysis, role definition, diversity and inclusion, and interview assessment criteria.
• Ensure a positive candidate experience and manage compliant background and reference checks.
• Implement and manage KPIs to measure timely hiring, applicant pool quality, and employee retention.
• Collaborate with professionals to develop intelligence on key talent and industry skill sets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 7+ years of experience as Director of Talent Acquisition for an Alternative Asset Firm or Family Office
• Minimum of 5 years experience in executive search or as a staffing/agency recruiter
• Strong knowledge of financial products, services, hedge funds, and family offices
• Strong program/project management and organizational skills
• Proven ability to manage compensation discussions and market data comparisons

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or advanced degree
• Human Resource designation
