Fractional Senior People Advisor

Responsibilities

• Act as a senior people business partner to the CEO and executive team
• Provide independent reads on org design, team composition, and succession planning
• Translate global policy and local employment law into practical options for the executive team
• Advise on consequential cases including restructures, exits, performance management, grievances, and investigations across Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, and Tanzania
• Coach team members through interpersonal and cross-cultural dynamics in a matrixed organization
• Shape and stress-test internal communications regarding people decisions, policy changes, and leadership transitions

Requirements

• 8+ years in senior HR, people, or organizational development roles
• Experience as a startup people leader, HR business partner, or CEO advisor
• Strong written communication skills for translating complex decisions into acceptable messaging
• Ability to act as a direct, discreet, and unattached outside voice
