About the role
Responsibilities
- Respond to queries from Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA) via email and portals
- Gather, record, and securely retain evidence for investigations
- Assist in the implementation of fraud prevention and detection across the bank
- Support lead investigators in financial fraud cases, identifying fraudulently obtained assets and monies
- Ensure accurate recording and systematic tracking of information shared with LEA
- Reduce fraud losses through timely action and stoppage of fraudulent cases
- Conduct fraud risk assessments and reviews using automated tools
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting & Auditing, Criminal Justice, or a related field
- 4-7 years of banking experience, with 2-4 years specifically in fraud investigations
- Strong knowledge of bank lending, operations products, and operational policies
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and Power BI
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze complex situations and resolve them independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification
