Full Stack Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement full stack features using TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, Express, and PostgreSQL
• Build responsive, accessible frontend interfaces for patients and healthcare providers
• Develop scalable backend services and RESTful APIs with HIPAA-compliant audit logging
• Create reusable React components and maintain consistent design patterns
• Implement state management and optimize frontend performance
• Write comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
• Align with UI/UX designs to translate prototypes into production-ready features
• Leverage AWS services including S3, CloudFront, App Runner, and Fargate for deployment
• Maintain clear documentation for APIs and architectural decisions

Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science or related technical discipline with 4+ years of full stack experience (or 6+ years relevant industry experience)
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript
• Expertise with React, Next.js, and modern frontend build tools
• Proven experience with Node.js, Express, and RESTful API development
• Solid understanding of MongoDB (Mongoose) and PostgreSQL
• Experience with responsive design and CSS-in-JS
• Familiarity with testing frameworks like Jest, React Testing Library, and Cypress
• Understanding of web security and secure authentication/authorization

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7, DICOM)
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and security best practices
• Knowledge of Docker and microservices architecture
• Proficiency with AWS cloud-native development
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience integrating AI/ML services like OCR or LLMs into web applications
• Understanding of WCAG accessibility standards
