About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and implement full stack features using TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, Express, and PostgreSQL
- Build responsive, accessible frontend interfaces for patients and healthcare providers
- Develop scalable backend services and RESTful APIs with HIPAA-compliant audit logging
- Create reusable React components and maintain consistent design patterns
- Implement state management and optimize frontend performance
- Write comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
- Align with UI/UX designs to translate prototypes into production-ready features
- Leverage AWS services including S3, CloudFront, App Runner, and Fargate for deployment
- Maintain clear documentation for APIs and architectural decisions
Requirements
- B.S. in Computer Science or related technical discipline with 4+ years of full stack experience (or 6+ years relevant industry experience)
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript
- Expertise with React, Next.js, and modern frontend build tools
- Proven experience with Node.js, Express, and RESTful API development
- Solid understanding of MongoDB (Mongoose) and PostgreSQL
- Experience with responsive design and CSS-in-JS
- Familiarity with testing frameworks like Jest, React Testing Library, and Cypress
- Understanding of web security and secure authentication/authorization
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7, DICOM)
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and security best practices
- Knowledge of Docker and microservices architecture
- Proficiency with AWS cloud-native development
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience integrating AI/ML services like OCR or LLMs into web applications
- Understanding of WCAG accessibility standards
