About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of General Liability claims, including construction defect exposures
- Investigate claims to determine liability, damages, and coverage implications
- Gather and analyze claim documentation, reports, contracts, and supporting evidence
- Communicate effectively with insureds, claimants, attorneys, contractors, experts, and clients
- Evaluate claim exposure and develop resolution strategies
- Negotiate settlements and work toward timely, cost-effective resolutions
- Maintain accurate claim documentation and file management
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and client service expectations
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience handling General Liability claims
- Construction defect experience preferred
- Familiarity with state-specific claims handling regulations and licensing requirements
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Effective negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and claims management systems
