General Manager, Consumer Utility Apps

Responsibilities

• Own the business P&L, including revenue, operating expenses, and EBITDA
• Set the growth strategy and product direction in partnership with Product and Engineering
• Drive growth and monetization outcomes by partnering with shared User Acquisition and Monetization teams
• Build and lead the core business unit team, including Product and Engineering talent
• Integrate the VPN business into Mode's shared-service ecosystem
• Utilize AI and automation to optimize business operations and decision-making

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in consumer technology, mobile apps, SaaS, or subscriptions
• Proven track record of P&L ownership and accountability for revenue/profitability
• Deep understanding of mobile economics (LTV, CAC, ROAS, retention, etc.)
• Experience building and leading cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical and commercial skills
• Experience with VPN, cybersecurity, or privacy products is strongly preferred
• High AI fluency and a habit of using AI to improve effectiveness
