About the role
Responsibilities
- Converse with language models on various language scenarios
- Verify factual accuracy and logical soundness of model outputs
- Capture reproducible error traces and document failure modes
- Suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics
- Challenge models on grammar, syntax, morphology, phonology, semantics, and pragmatics
Requirements
- Expertise in German grammar, syntax, morphology, phonology, semantics, and pragmatics
- Deep understanding of verb conjugation, case systems, word order, declensions, and gender
- Ability to provide clear, metacognitive communication and "show your work"
- Ability to provide own secure computer and high-speed internet
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in German language, linguistics, or a closely related field
- Peer-reviewed publications
- Teaching experience
- Hands-on linguistic analysis projects
