About the role
Responsibilities
- Identify government and defense programs that need manufactured parts
- Acquire technical data packages, CAD files, drawings and specifications
- Structure NDAs and data-sharing arrangements to evaluate opportunities
- Coordinate technical reviews with engineering and manufacturing teams
- Move opportunities through quoting, prototyping, qualification and contracting
- Maintain a structured pipeline of government part opportunities
- Produce concise briefs for leadership on opportunity value and risk
Requirements
- Ability to navigate complex government and defense organizations
- Comfort operating without a predefined playbook
- Understanding of technical and manufacturing information
- Strong organization across many relationships and dependencies
- Clear communication and sound judgment on pursuit and escalation
Preferred Qualifications
- Defense acquisition, program management or sustainment experience
- Experience with technical data packages or defense manufacturing
- Background in defense prime business development or capture
