About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures, tutorials, practical sessions, workshops, and laboratory classes in Graphic Design
- Administer and assess examinations, quizzes, assignments, and projects
- Provide constructive and timely feedback to support student learning
- Provide academic advising, mentoring, and guidance to students
- Coordinate internships, industry placements, and capstone projects
- Develop and maintain partnerships with industry and community organizations
- Contribute to curriculum development and academic scholarship
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in Design or a closely related field (or nearing completion)
- Or a master's degree with extensive industry experience from recognized firms
- Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience at Undergraduate level
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Proficiency in Sketch, Figma, or similar design platforms
- Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse range of students
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching specific Graphic Design units
- Evidence of continuing personal and professional development
- Proven track record in industry-standard design practices
