Head of Groups

Responsibilities

• Set the strategy for how we support university groups
• Launch new initiatives like regional organizers and residencies
• Own how we support and fund groups
• Represent the work externally to organizers, universities, and funders
• Build and lead the groups team
• Contribute to Kairos org-wide strategy

Requirements

• Experience organizing AI safety university groups or similar programs

• Deep context on the AI safety ecosystem

• Strong judgment regarding people and hiring

• High-agency and ability to execute autonomously

• Mission-aligned with a focus on AI safety risks
