About the role
Responsibilities
- Create and implement the strategy for Postdoctoral Affairs
- Liaise with Divisional Deans and academic leadership on postdoctoral guidelines
- Represent postdoctoral affairs in university-wide committees
- Evaluate and evolve postdoctoral programs and processes
- Partner with HR and Academic Appointments for smooth onboarding
- Develop and deliver postdoctoral career development programming
- Build and sustain a sense of community among postdoctoral researchers
- Maintain a data dashboard tracking the postdoctoral population and outcomes
Requirements
- Master's degree in higher education administration, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in academic research environments
- Experience supervising or managing postdoctoral researchers
- Demonstrated experience in academic governance, policy development, or research administration
- Experience in higher education leadership roles
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctoral degree
- Experience in a STEM or AI-focused graduate education environment
- Fluency in Arabic
- Understanding of UAE regulatory and higher education governance frameworks
