Head of Talent Operations

Responsibilities

• Own Kairos’s hiring pipeline end-to-end, including sourcing, evaluating, and closing candidates
• Build and maintain hiring infrastructure, systems, templates, and rubrics
• Build relationships with hiring organizations across the AI safety and policy ecosystem
• Proactively match early-career talent from Kairos programs to open roles
• Onboard partner organizations to the Talent Commons database and maintain data quality
• Shape the programmatic direction of the Talent Commons platform

Requirements

• Strong people intuition and relationship-building skills
• Systems-oriented mindset to design scalable processes and workflows
• High ownership and ability to make consequential decisions independently
• Deep mission alignment with AI safety and the ability to understand the ecosystem

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience in talent placement, recruiting, or headhunting in AI safety or adjacent spaces
• Experience with high-stakes selection processes
• Existing relationships within the AI safety ecosystem
