Hostess

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and determine the number in their party
• Seat guests by finding clean, available tables and providing menus
• Guide guests through dining rooms and provide assistance
• Arrange tables, chairs, and settings for groups with special needs
• Ensure place settings are appropriate with clean silverware and napkins
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas using clean-as-you-go procedures
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, and safety
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures
• Maintain professional uniform and personal appearance
• Use clear and professional language when speaking with guests and answering telephones

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time
• Professional communication skills and telephone etiquette
• Commitment to maintaining high quality and service standards
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
