About the role
Responsibilities
- Balance and audit all Front Office postings and settlements
- Verify and monitor all hotel reports and night audit reports
- Reconcile credit card commissions and food and beverage point of sale systems
- Monitor front office rebates and review F&B voids for proper authorization
- Prepare daily operational packages for management review
- Assist with month-end closing and analysis of bank accounts
- Prepare month-end income journal entries according to company policies
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Assist in conducting surprise float counts and other accounting tasks
- Stay updated on local financial regulations and standards in Dubai, UAE
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in income auditing, preferably in hospitality
- Proficiency in financial management software (Sun System, Opera, Micros, and Vision)
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
