Industrial Firefighter

Responsibilities

• Respond to fire, hazardous materials, and other emergency incidents as an active member of the Emergency Response Team
• Carry out firefighting activities using PPE, breathing apparatus, fire appliances, and foam systems
• Conduct scheduled inspections of hydrants, hose reels, fire shelters, and firefighting vehicles
• Monitor site activities to identify unsafe conditions or HSE risks
• Conduct Permit to Work (PTW) inspections and verify fire precautions
• Monitor hot work and higher-risk activities ensuring gas-testing controls are in place
• Participate in emergency drills, competency assessments, and HSE awareness programmes

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in emergency response, firefighting, or industrial safety
• At least 6 years of experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry
• Practical experience responding to industrial fire and hazardous materials incidents
• Current certifications in NFPA Firefighter I, NFPA Firefighter II, HAZMAT Awareness, and HAZMAT Operations
• Competence in the use of firefighting PPE and breathing apparatus
• Understanding of Permit to Work controls and hazard mitigation measures
