Insurance Claims Officer – Marine, Property & Liability

Responsibilities

• Receive, register, and acknowledge marine, property, and liability claims
• Review policies, endorsements, limits, exclusions, and deductibles
• Gather and verify supporting documents including statements, photographs, and reports
• Assess claim validity, quantum, and liability within policy terms
• Coordinate with insured parties, brokers, insurers, surveyors, and loss adjusters
• Process cargo, vessel, property, accident, and third-party liability claims
• Review repair quotations, replacement costs, and salvage opportunities
• Prepare evaluations, reserves, settlement documents, and closure recommendations
• Ensure compliance with policy terms, regulations, and data protection requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher diploma in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, or Business Administration
• Experience as an Insurance Claims Officer, Claims Executive, or Claims Handler
• Proven experience handling marine, property, liability, or cargo insurance claims
• Strong knowledge of insurance policies, claims procedures, and loss assessment
• Ability to interpret complex policy wording and schedules
