About the Company

Brainblast is a new product by Smart Nonsense – a media company making learning fun with over 3 billion views generated worldwide. Our mission is to make learning as addictive as social media by building a gamified educational experience.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of developing, launching, and maintaining the iOS app
• Build rapid prototypes for internal testing 2-3x/week
• Develop an asynchronous game experience for math problem solving
• Implement analytics to track student progress
• Format and integrate question banks into the app
• Build a seamless content delivery system for a TikTok-style mobile video course
• Optimize the app for a highly engaging, fast, and smooth learning experience
• Ensure scalability and maintainability through rigorous testing

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software experience in iOS app development
• Proven track record of shipping at least one iOS app professionally
• Proficiency with Swift and iOS frameworks (UIKit, CoreData, Core Animation, etc.)
• Experience with RESTful APIs and other API integrations
• Knowledge of video streaming and optimization
• Familiarity with Firebase or other backend solutions
• Experience integrating advanced analytics, animations, and gamified features
