About the role
Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices, reconcile supplier statements and follow up on outstanding payments
- Maintain journal entries, general ledger accounts and expense tracking
- Post intercompany entries and perform monthly reconciliation
- Perform bank and account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Support VAT and tax filings and assist with audit preparation
- Help generate weekly and monthly financial reports
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- 1-2 years of hands-on accounting experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)
- Working knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Tally or Zoho Books
- Strong numerical accuracy and analytical mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a trading, wholesale or distribution company
