About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform daily bookkeeping including posting invoices, expenses, journals, and accruals
- Maintain project cost ledgers, cost coding, and budget-vs-actual tracking
- Record project revenue, IPCs, variations, and client invoicing
- Process and reconcile subcontractor and supplier accounts, including advances and retentions
- Maintain general ledger postings and assist in balance-sheet reconciliations
- Support accounts payable and receivable processes and invoice settlement
- Prepare journal vouchers and perform bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations
- Support project accounting activities including cost allocation and claim reviews
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities and financial report preparation
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of accounting experience within contracting or construction companies
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office Tools
- Basic working knowledge of UAE VAT and local regulatory requirements
- Strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Accounting related certification
