About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations across sections
- Supervise and coordinate Chef de Partie and Commis Chef teams during service
- Maintain consistency in plating, portioning, and quality of every dish leaving the kitchen
- Monitor stock levels, ordering, and stores rotation to minimize waste
- Enforce HACCP food safety and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar role within a busy, high-volume restaurant
- Solid understanding of kitchen operations, food costing, and inventory management
- Strong leadership and communication skills to guide junior kitchen staff
- Valid food safety/hygiene certification
- Ability to work under pressure during peak service hours
