Junior Sous Chef

Responsibilities

• Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations across sections
• Supervise and coordinate Chef de Partie and Commis Chef teams during service
• Maintain consistency in plating, portioning, and quality of every dish leaving the kitchen
• Monitor stock levels, ordering, and stores rotation to minimize waste
• Enforce HACCP food safety and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar role within a busy, high-volume restaurant
• Solid understanding of kitchen operations, food costing, and inventory management
• Strong leadership and communication skills to guide junior kitchen staff
• Valid food safety/hygiene certification
• Ability to work under pressure during peak service hours
