About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage and investigate large loss and high-exposure homeowner claims, including litigation files
- Verify coverage, interpret policy language, and determine liability and damages
- Conduct on-site inspections and investigate origin and cause of losses
- Reconcile contractor and mitigation estimates using Xactimate
- Negotiate settlements with insureds, attorneys, and public adjusters
- Manage period of restoration for ALE and Loss of Rent claims
- Assist during catastrophe events and mentor other claims professionals
Requirements
- 5-7 years of dwelling estimating experience preferred
- Experience handling homeowner losses of $50,000 or greater
- Litigation and claims experience
- Advanced homeowner policy interpretation and coverage analysis
- Advanced Xactimate proficiency
- Required state adjuster licenses
- Strong communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Xactimate Level 3 certification
Benefits
- Salary range $76,600 - $106,450 plus bonus, commensurate with experience and location
