Lead Business Analyst - Trade Finance

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering, analysis and documentation for Trade Finance products
• Define end-to-end workflows from initiation through settlement and closure
• Prepare BRDs, FSDs, process flows, use cases and user stories
• Define integrations with T24, SWIFT, sanctions screening and document management
• Ensure controls, four-eyes approvals, duplicate financing prevention and audit trails
• Support Conventional and Islamic Trade Finance product design and Sharia adherence
• Drive SIT, UAT, defect management and business sign-off
• Identify process gaps and opportunities for automation and digital transformation
• Support implementation partners through delivery and post-Go-Live stabilisation

Requirements

• 10+ years in banking or financial services, primarily business analysis
• At least 6 years in trade finance: letters of credit, documentary collections, trade financing
• Islamic trade finance experience, including Murabaha-based LCs and Sharia board engagement
• Led business analysis on at least two end-to-end trade finance implementations
• Specifying SWIFT trade messaging, sanctions screening and TBML controls
• Hands-on use of generative AI tools in business analysis

Preferred Qualifications

• Awareness of Temenos T24 trade finance modules
• Product owner or proxy product owner experience
• UAE or wider GCC banking experience with CBUAE familiarity
