Lead Data Scientist - Solution Architect

Responsibilities

• Serve as the architectural lead for complex data science, AI, machine learning, and forecasting engagements
• Design and guide the implementation of production-ready AI solutions using Azure Machine Learning, Azure OpenAI, and Databricks
• Partner with clients to translate business challenges into scalable technical solutions
• Directly manage and mentor a Senior Data Scientist Consultant
• Lead client-facing discovery and requirement gathering sessions
• Provide technical direction on model design, algorithm selection, and deployment
• Support the development of Statements of Work and technical approach documentation
• Build and review predictive, statistical, and optimization models
• Ensure solutions are designed for long-term maintainability and scalability

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, or AI
• Strong proficiency in Python for model development and production-level solutions
• Extensive experience with Azure-based data and AI technologies
• Experience with Spark and large-scale data processing
• Hands-on experience with PyTorch for deep learning
• Experience developing, deploying, and monitoring production-level machine learning models
• Strong foundation in statistics, regression, forecasting, and optimization
• Experience mentoring, coaching, or managing technical team members
• Ability to travel approximately 10% as needed to client sites

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, or Data Science
• Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or demand forecasting
• Experience with Databricks or Azure Databricks
• Experience in a client-facing technical leadership or consulting role
• Experience with C++, GPU acceleration, or distributed training
