Lead Mobile Developer

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and development of a greenfield iOS and Android consumer application from earliest stages through launch and scale
• Make foundational technology decisions regarding the balance between React Native/Expo and native Swift/Kotlin development
• Build a polished, responsive, and intuitive consumer experience with a focus on performance and interaction design
• Establish mobile engineering standards, architecture patterns, and release processes
• Design and implement core mobile capabilities including camera interactions, animations, and deep linking
• Partner with Product and Design teams to translate ideas into exceptional mobile experiences
• Mentor engineers and help build a high-performing mobile engineering team

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience with significant experience in production mobile applications
• Demonstrated experience taking a consumer product from earliest stages through launch
• Strong experience with React Native and its ecosystem, or deep expertise in native iOS or Android development
• Strong understanding of mobile performance, rendering, memory management, and device constraints
• Proven ability to make architectural decisions in ambiguous environments
• Leadership mindset with a focus on execution and delivering products to users
