About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality undergraduate General Education courses using engaging, inclusive, and student-centered teaching methodologies
- Teach foundational courses including Islamic Studies, Arab Society, Introduction to Education, and Sport Pedagogy
- Contribute to the development, review, and enhancement of course syllabi
- Employ innovative pedagogical approaches such as active and experiential learning
- Design, administer, and evaluate assessments aligned with learning outcomes
- Provide academic advising and mentoring to students
- Participate in college-level committees and curriculum development activities
- Collaborate with faculty across the College to ensure coherence within the General Education Framework
Requirements
- Master's degree in Education, Social Sciences, Humanities, or a closely related field
- Demonstrated experience teaching undergraduate courses in higher education
- Ability to teach effectively across more than one General Education subject area
- Strong pedagogical skills and experience with outcomes-based teaching
- Proficiency in both Arabic and English
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in a relevant field
- Experience teaching within a General Education framework
- Familiarity with accreditation standards and quality assurance processes
- Experience integrating ethical, cultural, and societal perspectives into teaching
- Engagement in curriculum development or pedagogical research
