About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide legal research, advice and guidance to DTID divisions and leadership
- Draft and review contracts, agreements, memoranda and policies
- Support legal risk identification, assessment and management
- Advise on governance, privacy, data protection and IP matters
- Review partnership and institutional agreements
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer or recognised law degree (LLB, JD or equivalent) for senior levels
- Recognised law degree or legal qualification for Legal Assistant roles
- Approximately 7+ years post-qualification experience for Principal level
- Approximately 3+ years post-qualification experience for Senior level
- Professional proficiency in English
- Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
Preferred Qualifications
- Postgraduate legal qualification or specialist certification
- Knowledge of AI, blockchain, climate or sustainable development
- Additional international language
