About the role
Responsibilities
- Negotiate, draft, and review commercial agreements including license deals, distribution agreements, and artist contracts
- Provide legal guidance for local artist signings and contractual negotiations
- Advise on deal-making strategies for digital initiatives, concerts, live events, and sponsorships
- Develop and maintain standard form agreements and contractual provisions
- Oversee internal contract databases for managing artist rights
- Support internal corporate restructuring, mergers, and acquisitions
- Advise on corporate compliance frameworks and statutory filings
- Supervise litigation matters and manage external counsel
Requirements
- 8-10 years of post-qualification experience in commercial, corporate, IP, or M&A law
- Deep understanding of UAE commercial law
- Experience in independent contract negotiation and litigation management
- Experience in media, entertainment, digital, or technology industries preferred
- Hands-on experience with local legal systems and compliance processes
- Fluency in Arabic and English
