About the role
About the Company
The German International School Abu Dhabi (GISAD) is a recognized German school abroad with approximately 550 students from kindergarten to Abitur. It has been repeatedly rated as one of the best schools in Abu Dhabi and holds the seal of excellence "Exzellente Deutsche Auslandsschule."
Responsibilities
- Lead and organize the primary school department
- Provide pedagogical leadership and support to the primary school team
- Ensure and further develop teaching quality
- Conduct own teaching within the primary school sector
- Develop and implement pedagogical concepts
- Coordinate support and assistance measures
- Collaborate with kindergarten, secondary school, and school management
- Implement requirements of the German school system abroad
Requirements
- First and second state examinations for teaching (preferably primary school)
- Several years of teaching and leadership experience in the German school system
- Experience in an international context, preferably at a German school abroad
- Profound knowledge in inclusion, DFU/DaF, diagnostics, and language-sensitive didactics
- Experience in school development, quality management, and curriculum work
- Native German (C2) and fluent English (C1)
- Arabic language skills are an advantage
