Job description

Responsibilities

  • Contribute directly to mainline Linux kernel development including schedulers, power management, and device drivers
  • Support and optimize Linux for popular consumer devices used by millions
  • Partner with client engineering teams to translate customer needs into technical solutions while advocating for upstream-first approaches

Requirements

  • Solid Linux kernel development experience navigating unfamiliar subsystems independently
  • Product support experience diagnosing and resolving issues from vague bug reports
  • Strong English communication skills for patch reviews and client discussions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Upstream contribution history
  • Experience with schedulers, power management, Bluetooth, WiFi, or audio subsystems
  • Familiarity with CI/CD for kernel testing (KernelCI, Jenkins, LAVA)
