About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement machine learning algorithms and train models
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and analytics teams to build AI features
- Design system and model architectures
- Conduct experimentation and model evaluations
- Apply AI/ML to product problems and contribute to Atlassian Intelligence features
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Expertise in Python or Java with production-quality code
- Familiarity with SQL
- Experience building and scaling machine learning models on large data
- Experience developing deep learning models and LLM applications
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Spark and cloud data environments (AWS, Databricks)
- Experience in consumer or B2C SaaS, or enterprise/B2B
