About the role
Responsibilities
- Own the acquiring business plan and budget across SME and Strategic Account Acquiring
- Manage relationships and contracts with acquiring banks, processors, gateways and card schemes
- Approve deal pricing within agreed margin floors and own acquiring rate cards
- Set merchant onboarding policy with Risk and Compliance and keep onboarding fast
- Work with Product on the acquiring roadmap, including POS, SoftPOS and Pay by Link
- Train sales teams on acquiring products, pricing and onboarding
Requirements
- 8-12 years in merchant acquiring with a bank, acquirer, PSP or payment facilitator
- Experience managing acquiring banks, processors or schemes
- Card transaction flows, acquiring economics and scheme rules
- Gateways, 3DS, tokenisation, POS and PCI DSS requirements
- Fluent English
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or payments certifications such as Visa or Mastercard programmes
- UAE or GCC acquiring experience
- Arabic language skills
