Manager Event Sales - Hotel Sales

Responsibilities

• Assess and handle events and group inquiries, negotiate room rates, minimum food and beverage expenditure, and room-to-space ratios to obtain group business
• Monitor group and event budgets to ensure targets are met quarterly and annually
• Develop and grow relationships within corporate, association, and incentive markets through proactive prospecting and sales calls
• Represent the resort at tradeshows and industry events
• Innovate and propose new ideas for programs and offerings
• Promote a team-oriented work environment and provide guidance to team members
• Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events and increase sales
• Generate reports on sales performance and recommend improvements
• Attend industry events and networking opportunities to stay current on trends

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required (Hotel Management, Marketing, or Business Administration preferred)
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel sales
• Proficiency with MS Office, Delphi, and hotel operating systems
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to develop and implement long-term strategies
• Ability to achieve established quarterly individual room night goals
• Strong problem-solving skills to address client needs while maximizing revenue
• Expertise in cultivating and maintaining long-term client relationships
