About the role
Responsibilities
- Support monitoring of Bank compliance with HSA and ISSC resolutions and CBUAE requirements
- Help maintain the Annual Shari'a Assessment and Testing Plan across ADIB Group
- Conduct Shari'a monitoring and assurance reviews across business units using a risk-based methodology
- Assess Shari'a Non-Compliance risks and related controls with Business Units and Operational Risk
- Prepare and present review findings to stakeholders and committees
- Supervise implementation of action plans and track their progress
- Refine SCD policies, procedures and methodologies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Shari'a, Islamic banking or equivalent
- AAOIFI CSAA and/or CIPA certification or equivalent
- Expert knowledge of Islamic banking products and AAOIFI Shari'a Standards
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to balance compliance requirements with business needs
- Leadership experience
- Fluent Arabic and English
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Shari'a compliance, consultation or audit
- Reasonable legal and compliance background
