About the role
Responsibilities
- Foster a dynamic and engaging learning environment for Cycle 2 (Grades 5-8)
- Inspire students to develop a deep understanding and appreciation for mathematics
- Adhere to ADEK standards and international best practices
- Design and implement engaging extra-curricular activities related to mathematics or STEM
- Use formative and summative assessments to track student progress and inform teaching
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and share best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education with a Mathematics specialization, or a related field
- Recognized postgraduate teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed, M.Ed) or valid Western teaching license
- Minimum of 2 years of full-time, post-qualification teaching experience in Cycle 2 (Grades 5-8) or Key Stage 2/3
- Proficiency in educational technology including Google Classroom or Microsoft Teams
- Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction skills for EAL and SEND students
- In-depth knowledge of British, American, or IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) curricula
- Ability to obtain UAE security clearances and meet visa requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) from the UK
- Experience in an international school setting
