Meat Sommelier

Responsibilities

• Prepare various cuts of meat including beef and lamb
• Label meat types, dates, and destinations accurately
• Prepare ingredients through portioning, chopping, and storing
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes
• Engage with guests to provide meat and menu recommendations
• Assist front-of-house teams during peak service hours
• Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards
• Monitor food quality and control waste through proper portioning
• Create decorative meat displays for service
• Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and kitchen workers

Requirements

• Four to six years of related culinary work experience
• At least two years of supervisory experience
• Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
