Medical Science Liaison - UAE

Responsibilities

• Interact regularly with healthcare decision makers to advance Amgen's scientific platform
• Lead inflammation (Rare Disease) medical affairs activities in the Gulf
• Identify, train and update Amgen speaker bureau members
• Provide clinical and economic value information to payers and formulary decision makers
• Coordinate investigator-sponsored trials and support clinical study site selection
• Report scientific interactions on the ALIGN system and manage OL coverage and profiling
• Represent the company at medical education events, congresses and meetings

Requirements

• Proven experience in the pharmaceutical industry (clinical development, medical affairs, clinical or commercial operations)
• Advanced clinical or science degree (e.g. MD, PhD)
• Moderate to advanced knowledge of medical education and qualitative/quantitative research
• Moderate to advanced knowledge of medical writing
• Digital proficiency
• Proficiency in English and local languages
• Meeting visa requirements to work in the UAE

Preferred Qualifications

• Clinical study management and conduct experience
• Scientific publication experience
• Training in regional, local and international regulations including Good Clinical Practice
• Advanced knowledge of biostatistics and epidemiology
• Knowledge of regulatory, drug safety and clinical drug development
