About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as technical lead on mid-market retail opportunities alongside Account Executives
- Run structured technical discovery with multi-stakeholder buying groups
- Build tailored demos and demo environments mapped to prospect workflows
- Design end-to-end solutions for multi-location retailers, including integrations, data migration and network requirements
- Scope partner ecosystem solutions and frame trade-offs
- Lead pilots and proofs of concept through to decision
- Own technical components of RFPs, RFIs and security questionnaires
- Hand off technical scope cleanly to Implementation and Onboarding
Requirements
- 3+ years in solutions engineering, sales engineering or pre-sales consulting
- Working POS knowledge and retail operations fluency
- Practical fluency with integrations and APIs
- Experience with complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
- Ability to translate between technical and executive audiences
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
Preferred Qualifications
- Retail or restaurant commerce platform experience
- Experience with multi-unit or franchise retail operations
- Familiarity with ERP, inventory, e-commerce or loyalty integrations
