Mortgage Processor

Responsibilities

• Own loan files from submission through closing, ensuring accuracy and speed
• Review new loan submissions for completeness and required documentation
• Communicate proactively via telephone with borrowers, loan officers, investors, and contractors
• Prepare files for underwriting by verifying income, assets, liabilities, credit, and property documentation
• Manage an active pipeline, tracking milestones and meeting timelines
• Identify potential issues early to prevent delays
• Maintain detailed notes and updates in the Loan Origination System (LOS)
• Support continuous improvement of systems and workflows

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of mortgage processing experience
• Strong knowledge of Agency, Non-QM, Portfolio, FHA, VA, and renovation loan products
• Familiarity with loan origination systems
• Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational ability
• Willingness to communicate via telephone with customers
