About the role
Responsibilities
- Own loan files from submission through closing, ensuring accuracy and speed
- Review new loan submissions for completeness and required documentation
- Communicate proactively via telephone with borrowers, loan officers, investors, and contractors
- Prepare files for underwriting by verifying income, assets, liabilities, credit, and property documentation
- Manage an active pipeline, tracking milestones and meeting timelines
- Identify potential issues early to prevent delays
- Maintain detailed notes and updates in the Loan Origination System (LOS)
- Support continuous improvement of systems and workflows
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of mortgage processing experience
- Strong knowledge of Agency, Non-QM, Portfolio, FHA, VA, and renovation loan products
- Familiarity with loan origination systems
- Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational ability
- Willingness to communicate via telephone with customers
